Editor,
I was shocked by the story on gay men having sex in public restrooms published in Tuesday's Daily Lobo. Not only was the evidence circumstantial, which is beneath what I have come to expect from the Daily Lobo, but also slanted toward provoking violence against anyone perceived as gay in that environment.
I would like to add that when I was going to use the restroom, a young lady plowed into me Tuesday followed by a young man; they were just leaving. I will not speculate as to what might have been happening, since I have no firsthand knowledge. I also would not put into print accusations that might lead to misinterpretation. Why polarize the campus over evidence that could be fabricated against a targeted minority group?
