The UNM men's soccer team finally played like the top-10 ranked squad that entered the season in Sunday's 3-1 win over Hartwick in Akron, Ohio.
After struggling through two exhibition losses and falling 3-1 to Akron in Friday's season opener, the Lobos bounced back to improve to 1-1-0 on the season.
The UNM offense put in a strong performance Sunday after Hartwick scored the first goal in the ninth minute.
Lobo junior Chris Wright evened the score in the 14th minute, earning his first goal of the season and 10th of his career.

Junior Mike Porter put the Lobos up for good in the 22nd minute. Sophomore P.J. Wilson scored off a Blake Danaher assist in the 33rd minute to give the Lobos a cushion, and the UNM defense tightened up the rest of the way.
Friday's loss against host Akron was a different story. The Lobos tied the score at 1-1 in the 38th minute off a Ryan Farquharson goal, but only managed three shots after halftime.
Akron scored in the 68th and 76th minutes to seal the Lobos' loss.
The loss in the season opener was the first under head coach Jeremy Fishbein. The last time UNM lost its first game was in 1999.
The Lobos will get a chance to boost their record, playing their next four games
