Ben Hurula: I like it worlds better than high school.
DL: What do you like the most about
college?
BH: I love that there are no restrictions like in high school, such as in Rio Rancho, we had a dress code.
DL: What instrument do you play?
BH: Saxophone.
DL: What is your favorite class?
BH: My favorite class would have to be jazz band.
DL: Why?
BH: I just love music.
DL: What is your least favorite class?
BH: Math 100.
DL: Why do you hate it?
BH: I just can't do it - numbers.
DL: Do you like anything else about the campus?
BH: I like the Duck Pond.
DL: Are you excited for the semester to be over?
BH: Yeah. When it comes.
DL: Was this semester difficult compared to high school?
BH: No. I found it a lot easier because I have more free time.
DL: How many credit hours are you
taking?
BH: It's confusing because fine arts majors are different. We have less classes that actually get credit. We have to take classes just for our music major that don't actually give you any credit, but they are still required. So, it looks like I have only eight or nine.
DL: Have you met a lot of different people? Or do you still hang out with the same people from high school?
BH: I have met a few new people, but I still hang out with the same people from high school mostly.
DL: Do you see them a lot around campus?
BH: I do see them a lot because a lot of them came straight here like I did. A lot of them live on campus.
DL: Do you like going to the dorms?
BH: Yeah. It's a nice place to hang out.
DL: Do you go there on the weekends?
BH: No. I work on the weekends.
DL: Where do you work?
BH: Monroe's. It's a Mexican food restaurant on Osuna (Boulevard).
DL: Do you enjoy working there?
BH: Yeah. It's a nice place to work.
DL: How long have you been working there?
BH: Since the beginning of the summer, right after I moved out.
DL: Do you have any roommates?
BH: Yeah. I live with my fiancée.
DL: What's it like living with her?
BH: It is going wonderfully.
DL: Is it ever difficult to live with her?
BH: No. Not at all.
DL: When did you move out?
BH: The day after graduation.
DL: Do you work full-time?
BH: Just about. I kind of have to.
DL: Is it difficult to balance working full-time and going to school?
BH: You just have to be the kind of person that can handle it, because most people can't. I mean, the way I do it anyway, because I don't have a weekend, I work or go to school every day. I have no free time.
