DL: Why are you taking so many?
MD: Because I want to graduate.
DL: What's the best class you've taken so far?
MD: Definitely Spanish 301.
DL: What did you like about it?
MD: There was a lot of class involvement. Everyone was friendly. It was a small class, and everybody really interacted with each other and made friends.
DL: What's your least favorite class?
MD: Definitely organic
chemistry.
DL: Why?
MD: It was a very difficult class.
DL: What are your plans after graduation?
MD: My future plans are to apply for pharmacy school.
DL: Why do you want to do that?
MD: I love the idea of helping people, and I'm a certified tech. So, I always eventually wanted to become a pharmacist.
DL: If you could create a miracle drug, what would it cure?
MD: Besides the cure of cancer, the cure of hatred.
DL: The cure of hatred?
MD: Yeah. Give it to people, create peace in the world.
DL: Where do you think we need peace most in the world?
MD: All over. We need to have a greater respect for each other. It would help a lot.
DL: Where are you from?
MD: Estancia.
DL: How is Albuquerque different from Estancia?
MD: It's pretty big compared to where I'm from. It's a really rural community. It's like a one-gas station town.
DL: Do you like the hustle and bustle of the big city?
MD: No. I'm a country bug.
DL: What do you like to do in the country?
MD: Watch the grass grow. I really do. I enjoy the peace and the space. I live on a ranch. I enjoy the space and open air and the ability to just go out and scream and nobody can say anything. Or turn up your radio as loud as you want. There's nobody there to tell you to turn it down.
