I think Schmidly is a great president for UNM. He has done a lot to improve the campus. He also heeds to student requests. I've talked to him personally a couple of times. He always takes everyone's opinion very seriously, and he e-mails us every Monday morning and lets us know what's going on with the school.

I think he's more about the administration than he is about the students.

It seems like he's making everything a lot more complicated. We have 25 vice presidents now, or some ridiculous number, and they're trying to figure out what they're doing with the missing $2 million of research money. It seems like the (expletive) is hitting the fan all at once, and the students are suffering with tuition rate increases.
