Daily Lobo: Are you from Albuquerque originally?
Dhara Shah: Yeah.
DL: How do you like it?
DS: I like it. I miss it. Like, the nature and the hiking and you can see everything around you, because I live during the school year in DC. I go to college there. I go to summer school here, but I go to school at George Washington University, so it's a lot different from Albuquerque.
DL: What do you like about Washington compared to Albuquerque?

DS: I like how there is a lot of stuff to do. I like how there is a lot more diversity from all across the country, and I like how there are always people around you.
DL: What do you want to do with your psychology degree?
DS: I'm not sure yet. I'm thinking pharmacy, maybe.
DL: What do you like to do in your spare time in Albuquerque?
DS: I like to go to Santa Fe, go shopping Uptown, hang out with people and go to the mountains. I like to take advantage of the nature that not every city has.
DL: Do you have any other
hobbies?
DS: I used to do a lot of artwork. I haven't done that recently, but I like to draw and color. And I love reading outside. I like going by the Duck Pond or just hanging around nature, like hiking and being outside.
DL: Have you taken any art classes in college?
DS: Well, in high school I did. I took a lot there. I haven't had time to take any in college because of other classes.
DL: Where is your favorite place to eat in Albuquerque?
DS: Jinja, by Paseo.
DL: What is your favorite dish there?
DS: I forget the name. It has coconut curry simmered with tofu. It's really good. I'm vegetarian, so I like to go to there.
DL: How long have you been vegetarian?
DS: Since I was born. I'm Jain - it is like Hinduism. I have to be vegetarian. I don't mind it, though.
DL: Do you have any pet peeves?
DS: Yeah, so many. When
people eat, the noise they make when they eat. When they are eating or drinking soup, that slurping noise. Or an apple - you know that crunch?
