Editor,
This is a response to the column "Barack Obama: the bad man" by Benjamin Sanchez from Wednesday's Daily Lobo. I realize Sanchez's main point that he is trying to get across as far as Obama having a weak character for being in association with some individuals. The problem is that Sanchez brings up many instances that he implies are fact that, in reality, are not.
For example, he states in his column that Obama says, "Ayers is some guy who lives in his neighborhood." In fact, Obama never said that. What I urge everyone to do is go to FactCheck.org (a bipartisan Web site) and read the article "'He lied' about Bill Ayers?" to get the truth about what Obama actually said. There are also articles about Tony Rezko.
I want to remind everyone not to believe everything said and written in the media to be truth. Always do your own research from reputable sources to get the facts.
