Question of the Week

Are you concerned about local elections? If so, which ones?

Tyler Robertson

Junior

Psychology

"Not really.... I've watched all the commercials. I haven't seen a whole lot of what they're going to do. It's more of just bashing each other. I just kind of go with my party and their views."

Selli Varela

Sophomore

Special education

"I did way more research on the presidential candidates before I voted, and I kind of regret that. I remember when I was filling out the ballot I didn't know as much about it as I could have. I should have done more research."

Marcos Rodriguez

Senior

Psychology and business

"Yeah, because my friend Darren White's dad is running for Congress. I don't really have too many other concerns. I'm going to do research on (Tom) Udall. You can't go in there and be an ignorant voter. I'm going to do the most research for Congress and the Senate."

Bevin Ehn

Senior

Mass communication

"I read up on Martin Heinrich .... I kind of went with a partisan vote on it. When it comes to New Mexico level, definitely Udall and Heinrich and Ben Ray Lujan are pretty important ... just because of what those offices actually do and what people have to know about for those positions."
