Daily Lobo: What are you reading there?
Val Vallejos: My gossip magazine, Life and Style.
DL: What is it gossiping about?
VV: Well, Rihanna and Chris Brown, of course, since he's been beating up his girlfriend.
DL: What do you think about that?
VV: It's pretty crazy. I don't know, but I heard she's going back, so it's kind of stupid.

DL: Do you usually read gossip magazines?
VV: Yeah, yeah. It's a nice break between my other readings for all my classes, you know.
DL: What other classes do you have?
VV: I'm getting a minor in Communication and Journalism, so I'm taking writing for media.
DL: What are your hobbies?
VV: Um, working out. I should be spending my time in the gym, but I'm slacking today. I'm tired.
DL: What does your normal workout routine consist of?
VV: Monday, Wednesday, Fridays: an hour of weight lifting and then two hours of cardio and stretching.
DL: Why do you want to major in education?
VV: My dad's a teacher. He teaches third grade, and I think it kind of rubbed off on me.
DL: Is Life and Style the only gossip magazine that you read?
VV: I like People and US Weekly.
DL: Do you have a favorite celebrity?
VV: No, not really. I like everybody. I love Jennifer Aniston, though. I loved her in "Friends" and I just feel like I grew up with her as a kid, watching "Friends."
DL: What do you think about the tension between her and Angelina Jolie?
VV: Yeah! It's pretty crazy. She gave out an award at the Academy Awards, and Angelina and Brad (Pitt) were in the audience. It was kind of awkward. You could tell it was kind of weird. There was an article about that in here.
DL: What do you think it would be like to be a celebrity?
VV: I don't know. I don't know how they handle it. It would be so nerve-racking, especially those days you just want to, like, go out of your house and not wear any makeup. It's tons of work. They're
probably constantly working out, getting their hair done. It seems like it'd be fun, but after a while I'd just want to hang out.
DL: Do you want to be famous?
VV: No. Well, maybe. Maybe just a little famous.
