Daily Lobo: Why paramedic?
Robbie Pulliam: I just like helping out people. I'm not doing it for the money, because the pay for it, like the average, is $23,000. So, yeah, I just like helping out people. I'll probably go into firefighting, something like that.
DL: What interests you in firefighting?
RP: Ever since I was a kid, I guess I always thought that firefighters had kind of a cool job. I guess it's just a kid thing. I have a couple friends whose dads are firefighters, and they really seem to enjoy it. To me, it really seems like a team effort, and that's kind of something that I'm kind of good in. I mean, I was always in sports and stuff like that, and it just seems like a pretty good job to me.
DL: What sports did you play?
RP: I played a lot of football, did a lot of track and field, and I did wrestling for a couple years.

DL: Are you from here?
RP: Yeah.
DL: What high school did you go to?
RP: Rio Grande.
DL: Did you guys ever have any big high school rivalries?
RP: Um, yeah. Probably with Valley. Come basketball time, it got pretty competitive. A lot of the time there were a couple fights after. Yeah, it was pretty crazy. It seemed like it was a lot of Valley. They were a lot more violent - it was pretty crazy. Everyone thinks it's all Rio, but a lot of the time it was Rio that just stepped up. I don't know. I thought it was pretty fun.
DL: Do you have any other hobbies?
RP: Not really. At this point, I guess maybe Xbox.
DL: What do you like to play?
RP: The main game is probably "Call of Duty 4." It's such a fun game. I'm really looking forward to the next one that comes out. Online, you're playing as a group of guys, and it's just fun. The graphics and stuff are so, like, good, and the weapons and stuff.
DL: So you like being part of a team?
RP: Yeah, I guess because I started playing YAFL. It's a junior football league. I played with the same group of guys from my freshman year of high school. We just all kind of depended on each other, like even now we still hang out. A couple of them don't really come to UNM, but we still manage to hang out and have time to chill.
