Editor,
I congratulate President Barack Obama on the content and tone of the speech he gave last week.
He told U.S. citizens and the rest of the world exactly where we are financially. He also assured us that we will recover from this, as we have always recovered in the past. He told us the action he plans to take to begin the recovery from this financial slump. He told us that part of those plans is something he does not believe in (expansion of government control), but that it appears to be the best thing to do at the moment, and that it will only be a temporary measure. He also told us that adjustments will be necessary to those plans in the future.
I sincerely hope that he keeps up the good work he has done since being sworn in as president and keeps not letting the naysayers - who only complain and criticize and have nothing constructive to offer - from deterring or distracting him from the path to a better future that he is on.
