Editor,
After attending a recent freshmen Bobo orientation, I noticed that the only thing served for lunch when my parents came was Mexican food. I find this kind of blatant racism is repugnant. After my four years of high school, I can safely say that I know the definition of racism and this is it. What are all the non-Latino people supposed to eat? Where are the Twinkies and hamburgers?
UNM says it has a goal of promoting diversity, but how is a campus supposed to be diverse when everyone except one race is dying from hunger?
Luckily I saw that there is a McDonald’s conveniently located right outside of campus and have subsisted on McNuggets for the last few months.
On an unrelated note, has anyone ever heard of the freshmen 50?
