Editor,
The planetarium on campus hosts an open house Friday evenings if the sky is clear. I went last Friday and found the views from the telescopes fascinating. The young men helping out were knowledgeable, and the whole experience very worth while. The only hitch in the evening was the bright lights from the new parking structure on Lomas Boulevard that was a huge distraction when viewing the skies. Would it be possible for the lights to be dimmed on Friday nights when the planetarium is open to the public?
I encourage people to go on Fridays and take a look at the celestial sights. It’s free, but donations are accepted.
