US government suspiciously similar to a dictatorship

Editor,

Is the modern definition of a dictatorship, “A government that exports the jobs of average workers to other countries for the benefit of corporations; destroys the economy by converting the stock market from a place to invest for the future to a place where a few speculators can make vast fortunes in a short period of time at the expense of everyone else; bankrupts the school system, pension funds, health care and the country’s infrastructure; and takes away the right to organize from average citizens?”

If so, how close is the U.S. government today to qualifying as a dictatorship?
