Editor,
I’d like to point out the irony in the Wednesday’s edition where one student is attempting to get her fellow peers to read more for enjoyment while below her another student, Chris Rodriguez, is spouting ignorant Islamophobic rhetoric, not to mention historical fallacies about a group of people he knows nothing about.
I’m not going to go into detail with his letter mainly because the points he has are ones I’ve debated over and over again. However, he is right about one thing he states: He is cliché. Maybe Chris should take Chelsea Worthington’s advice and turn off the news and read a book — preferably a nonpolitical one.
