Editor’s note: This is in response to “Campus cocaine bust,” published in Tuesday’s Daily Lobo. The article recaps APD’s arrest of a dozen people, five of whom were UNM students, on suspicion of selling drugs or trying to buy them from undercover officers.

I am delighted that the APD managed to capture the freshman criminal mastermind that wanted to sell $10 worth of marijuana. I can’t think of a better use of our city’s resources. Certainly, I will sleep more soundly tonight knowing that one less person is lounging around the Duck Pond, thinking about munchies.
