Editor,
I would like to see the PBS NOVA show “Earth From Space” be required to be shown in every classroom for grades one through 12. I am certain that if it were, all who saw it would, at the very least, become aware that we human beings are presently aware of only a tiny fraction of what really takes place on our planet and in our universe. In addition to that, as one watches the show, it becomes apparent that the different forms of life that exist in different parts of our planet are a direct result of the climate conditions in the different parts of our planet. So, if the climate changes, life forms will have to adapt or become extinct.
Finally, it is my opinion that if most of the children alive today saw the show, hopefully several times, I am convinced the world in which the next generation lives has the potential of being vastly different than the world is now. I am willing to engage in an open, honest and authentic dialogue concerning what I mean by that with anyone who is willing to do that with me.
