If there was any doubt remaining regarding the state of the political system in this country, the vote in the U.S. Senate on a background check prior to a gun purchase eliminated that doubt.
The political system we now have boils down to this: We the people elect people who are controlled by a small percentage of very rich people who have no desire to see government of the people, by the people and for the people not perish from the Earth. That leaves only one question unanswered: Are we the people going to permit government of the people, by the people and for the people to perish from the Earth?
