US prosperity slipped as rich accrued assets

Editor,

Before Reaganomics became how we Americans deal with economics, the prosperity rating for us was number one on the planet.

Today it is 27th.

Yes, fellow Americans, our prosperity rating has fallen from first to 27th over the past 30 years. And, during this same time period, the rewards for top executives have risen from about 30 times that of the average worker to nearly 500 times that of the average worker, and the income tax rate for the average worker has risen slightly while the income tax rate for those making a great deal of money has dropped substantially.

In addition to those significant facts, we, in America, during this same time period, have made it much more expensive, or impossible in many cases, for our children to become college educated, and have made it much more difficult for our citizens to obtain jobs that provide a living wage because most of the well-paying jobs are now outsourced to foreign countries.

If you are not already aware that America is well on the way to becoming a third world country, just stick around and do nothing to prevent that from happening and you will experience that reality.
