Stranger Factory Art Gallery is holding its annual Halloween show, “Bewitching III.” Check out Halloween-themed art by local artists from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Stranger Factory is located at 109 Carlisle Blvd. N.E. All ages.

Learn to relax
Wednesday

The Cloud9 Healing Center is advertising its Chair Yoga class as ideal for learning to do yoga at work. One can only assume the instructors there have no idea how long students sit. Cloud9 Healing Center is located at 6910 Montgomery Blvd. N.E. Class is from 3 to 4 p.m. All ages.

Muppet madness
Thursday

Meet Brian Jay Jones, the author who wrote the first biography on Muppet creator and puppeteer Jim Henson. Jones will be speaking on campus at the Centennial Engineering Auditorium at 6 p.m. The Centennial Engineering Auditorium is located at 300 Redondo W Drive, just east of University Blvd., between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. and Central Ave. All ages.

Celebrate Dia de los Muertos
Friday

Celebrate the Day of the Dead at locally owned Masks Y Mas. The noon to 8 p.m. event will feature sugar skulls, art demos, live music and face painting. Masks Y Mas is located at 3106 Central Ave. S.E. All ages.

Dance to “Thriller”
Saturday

The fifth annual Thrill the World event is back this year to try to break the world record for largest simultaneous dance. Around the world, people will gather to dance to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” at 3 p.m. Participants are encouraged to come in their best zombie costume and can attend a free “Thriller” dance class from noon to 1 p.m. The event will be held at Albuquerque Little Theatre, located at 224 San Pasquale Ave. S.W. Check-in and registration is from 1:30 to 2 p.m., followed by a dress rehearsal. The current largest simultaneous dance record was set in 2008 and included 22,923 people. All ages.

Celebrate at the Octofair

Local consignment shop The Octopus and The Fox’s Octofair will feature artists, vendors, raffles, music, games and a variety of food trucks. The Octofair runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 514 Central Ave. S.E. All ages.
