Regardless of my body’s age, my mind is timeless

Editor,

When I am asked how old I am, the answer I prefer to give is that I do not know. The reason I prefer that answer is because I know that I am not my physical body, but something other than my physical body that entered what became my physical body at what we refer to as “conception.”

The physical body I am in will age and eventually stop functioning. I will not age and can certainly continue to learn by being receptive to newly discovered concepts and ideas as long as I am present in my physical body and my physical body remains functional. When my physical body stops functioning, what we refer to as “death,” I will leave it and continue to exist in some state that I have no present knowledge of.

That is how I perceive reality to be; and, as long as I am present in my physical body and it continues to function, I shall continue to learn as much as I am capable of about the real nature of what is taking place on this planet, which appears to have been present for approximately 4.55 billion years in our universe, which appears to have come into existence from an unknown “Source” approximately 13.7 billion years ago, as far as we are able to determine based on our understanding of the evidence available to us today, in November 2013. That is how I perceive those parts of reality to be.
