The recent deaths of senior criminology major Matthew Grant and senior business administration major Briana Hillard have brought together the UNM community in a way that is rarely seen. Moments like these show how much of an effect we can have on others.
I had the pleasure of living next to Matthew when he lived in SAE. He taught me a lot about life, as he did for everyone he came in contact with. When I heard the news of his death, I was devastated. As many tend to do, I turned to music to help through this difficult time. During this process a song dedicated to Matt and Briana was born. I wish to share it with others who have suffered the loss of a unique individual who has made a profound impact on their life, and hope to help Matt and Briana’s families in the process.
