Sade Patterson seems to figure very large on your opinion page. As with most opinions on the right, what she doesn’t say is key:
Shutting down Planned Parenthood would deny thousands of women their legal right to have a safe abortion. After all, aren’t there enough problems for those already born, the living? Why be so preoccupied with fetuses?
Unwanted children face a cruel road. Many become outcasts or gravitate to crime. It is wrong to force women to bear children they don’t want and can’t do right by.
The countries that outlaw abortion are all authoritarian or totalitarian. The widespread new restrictions on health clinics throughout America that do abortions is another sign the United States is headed toward authoritarian government, a banana republic run by banana Republicans.
