UNM administrators have named the restaurants that will fill the SUB, as well as the project's new completion date of July 1 - one that administrators say they are confident will be met. Walt Miller, associate vice president of UNM Student Development, said the eight SUB eateries will offer a variety of food including everything from the super healthy to french fries and hamburgers.

Ashley Shartzer delivered a clutch two-run homer that sent the UNM softball team to a 4-2 victory over BYU at Lobo Field Thursday. After the Cougars tied the game 2-2 in the top of the fifth inning, freshman shortstop Ashley VanBoxmeer led off the bottom of the sixth with a base hit through the left side of the infield.
Duff Lill, a junior majoring in finance, said he is running for ASUNM Senate because he has experienced the executive side of student government and wants to make a difference on the legislative. "I was executive lobbying director for ASUNM," Lill said.
Larry Penley, one of five finalists for the UNM presidential position, challenged students, faculty and staff Thursday to raise the University's national and international reputation by continuing to enrich the local and state communities. Sophomore Pedro Arturo Ramos said he would make a good ASUNM senator because he is honest, open-minded and determined. "I am a man of my word," Ramos said. "Anyone who knows me knows that when I say I'll do something, it gets done." Ramos, a mechanical engineering major, is running with the Horizon slate.
ASUNM senatorial candidate Veronica Garcia, who is running with the Vision slate, said increased security on campus will be one of her highest priorities if elected. "UNM consistently has a high number of incidents regarding students' safety every year," Garcia said.
