Maryland native Dawinder Sidhu said he has spent most of his life close to the Atlantic Ocean. So after he snagged a job at UNM Law School three years ago, Sidhu decided to stay in sunny Albuquerque for a change.

Golf course face-lift on its way

UNM’s 76-acre golf course could become more eco-friendly by next spring. After the Bernalillo County Open Space Fund and the University agreed to allot $1.5 million to renovate UNM’s North Golf Course last year, the University is now taking those plans into action.

Former senator donates papers to UNM

Zimmerman Library has become more of a haven for students who love politics, as a former senator has donated a slew of congressional papers to the facility. Former U.S. Sen. Jeff Bingaman donated 1,100 boxes of congressional papers from his 30-year senatorial career to UNM.




	The Board of Regents discuss details of UNM’s Vision 2020 plan at The Pit on Tuesday. The board expressed positive outlook about the plan, which they deemed to be “a starting point” for the University that “can certainly evolve.”

Frank, regents optimistic about Vision 2020 plan

One year after the creation of UNM’s Vision 2020, the regents continue to have positive outlooks on the plan. In a special Board of Regents meeting held Friday at The Pit, the board expressed optimism about the plan. UNM President Robert Frank said the plan is improving little by little over the years.

Lobo Spotlight: Wynn Goering

Wynn Goering has been serving as the special assistant for branch affairs in the office of UNM’s president for one year now. But he might have to find his own assistant soon, as UNM appointed Goering as the new CEO of UNM West last month.
