UNM President David Schmidly announced Wednesday the members of a board that will help determine the future of the North Golf Course area. Hundreds of people have turned out at rallies for the preservation of the course since February when UNM issued requests for information for commercial development of University-owned property, including the North Golf Course.
Crimes that have gone unsolved for years at UNM are now being put to rest with better technology and a new law, a UNM Police spokesman said. Lt. Pat Davis said UNM Police used to submit fingerprints to the state crime lab to no avail.
The charter for UNM's chapter of Kappa Sigma fraternity has been revoked until 2009. Kappa Sigma had been suspended since Aug. 21 after it was reported that a fight broke out at the fraternity's house during a party with alcohol.
