I watched the XFL last weekend and was pleasantly surprised. I liked it, at least mostly.
Editor, Just when I thought the level of absurdity regarding the Sigma Chi parking lot fiasco couldn't possibly increase, along came Joel Nossoff's successful letter in Wednesday's Daily Lobo.

State Rep. Joe Thompson, R-Albuquerque, had a good idea for a new bill. Passage of his proposed legislation should have been a no-brainer. Editor, It is truly appalling to me that UNM has allowed the Sigma Chi fraternity incident to detract from its purpose "to serve the educational needs of the citizens of the State, and those of the nation and the world ."
If you were unable to leave a small cluster of buildings, stuck with the most reprehensible scum imaginable, for 30 years, how would you feel?
I would like to offer some comments in response to James Burbank's Jan. 30 letter in the Daily Lobo.
Despite what Richard Berthold says, it is not inconsistent for his freedom of speech to be protected and that he be reprimanded for unprofessional conduct.
Editor, I am writing in response to Jeremy Reynalds' Feb. 2 column, "Johnson's Ideas Detrimental."

Editor, During the past month, few environmental issues have garnered as much attention as the fate of the Artic National Wildlife Refuge.
