Ski team places second in NCAA Championship

The UNM ski team fell short of its second NCAA Championship on March 12, coming in second behind the University of Colorado. The Lobos won the championship in 2004 to give UNM its first national title in any sport. Colorado won the 2006 championships with 654 points. The Lobos were next with 556.

The UNM men's tennis team has played in the comfort of the Lobo Tennis Complex for the last month, but that long home stand ended Saturday night with a loss to the University of Colorado at home.

The UNM men's basketball team has had to scrounge to put points on the board recently, and head coach Ritchie McKay doesn't have a problem with that at all - so long as the Lobos are winning games.

Lobos beaten in final seconds

The University of Nevada-Las Vegas has the UNM women's basketball team's number in Sin City. The Lobos lost their fourth game in eight tries with a 65-63 loss to the Runnin' Rebels in Las Vegas on Thursday night. It was the seventh loss in the past eight games against UNLV in the Thomas and Mack Center.
