Letter: Lobo just another leftwing propaganda site

Editor, I thought that the Daily Lobo was an "independent student newspaper." I have noticed that you seem to print a large number of non-student letters. Why is that? Is it that the letters sent to you by students don't line up with your ideological position and as such are not worth printing? Or is it that the students have just given up on the Daily Liberal and don't write letters? I find the Opinion section of the Daily Liberal to be a real let down.

Evanescence explores hard love

While the word Evanescence may signify a disappearance, this band is firmly planted in its music. The best way to describe Fallen, the second full-length CD release from the Arkansas quartet Evanescence, would be haunting, melodious and very gothic. Vocalist Amy Lee brings her unique voice to a band that may otherwise be grouped in the nondescript New Metal/Goth genre.
