8-3 vote keeps Chick-fil-A in the SUB

After postponing its vote last semester, the SUB Board decided Wednesday to let Chick-fil-A retain its spot in the SUB. Eight board members voted to keep the controversial restaurant while three voted to replace Chick-fil-A with another restaurant.

UNM student dies in a hit and run on I-40

A 20-year-old UNM art and psychology double major died early Saturday morning on I-40 in a hit-and-run. According to an article published in Wednesday’s Albuquerque Journal, Jennifer Bobrick was driving to a friend’s house when she crashed her SUV into a boulder by a frontage road.

Sonic to leave the SUB this summer

Sonic won’t be in the SUB after the end of the semester. In the SUB Board meeting Wednesday afternoon, Associate Vice President for Student Life Walter Miller said the board has already received confirmation from the owner of the restaurant.

On Feb. 18, an unknown suspect shot a BB at a window in the Fine Arts and Design Library on the fourth floor of George Pearl Hall. According to the report, the shot left a slight impact about one inch wide.
