Corporations too wealthy to have freedom of speech
January 26Editor, Yesterday’s Supreme Court decision was monumental. Here are my thoughts and suggestions: The First Amendment does not grant any rights to individuals, per se. It rather prohibits Congress from enacting any laws “abridging the freedom of speech.” From that perspective, it is easier to follow the majority’s argument.
