Player's first goal a winner

by Kelly Brocklehurst Daily Lobo Terryn Granados' first career goal as a Lobo came just when the UNM women's soccer team needed it. The Lobos got their first win of the season against the Eastern Washington Eagles 2-0 Sunday in the New Mexico Nike Classic.

Injury no match for unstoppable goalie

by Kelly Brocklehurst Daily Lobo Kristen Winters' soccer career could have ended when she was a senior in high school. Winters, a senior goalkeeper on the UNM women's soccer team, broke her leg in July 2000 while playing in the Snickers U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships semifinals.

Volleyball player still hitting hard

by Kelly Brocklehurst Daily Lobo Since her freshman year in college, Chelsea Sondrup has been accumulating awards and breaking school records as a middle blocker on the volleyball team. She said this season shouldn't be any different. "I'm honored and I hope to be able to break more," the senior said.

Warming up with volleyball vets

by Kelly Brocklehurst Daily Lobo The Lobo volleyball team swept the Lobo Alumni team in an exhibition match Friday night. "It was a good icebreaker," freshman Gayle Tripp said. The Lobos dominated the match, winning straight games 30-15, 30-19, 30-23. In game one, the Alumni scored the first point on an Ingrid Roosild kill, but a service error by Roosild tied the game.
