Iran advances global terrorism

Last week, Iran ended its 13-day hostage-taking of British sailors when it finally agreed to send them back to Britain. During the ordeal, Iranian leaders acted as all other Islamic fundamentalists we've seen since the terrorist attacks of 9/11, parading their hostages in the global media, creating a facade that the hostages were not being harmed and making demands on the Western world. It's a picture we've become far too comfortable seeing.

Attorney deserved to be fired

Pete Domenici and Rep. Heather Wilson. The Department of Justice is now under fire for not properly outlining the reasons behind the firings of Iglesias and seven other U.

Congress' message hurts U.S.

With about half the U.S. snowed in on Valentine's Day, President Bush likely felt that he had a captive audience when he held a news conference to address a few issues. He spoke about the beginning stages of the security crackdown in Iraq, detailing that U.S. forces in Baghdad are teaming with Iraqi security forces to clear insurgents from the area and hold the areas afterward.

Left shouldn't embrace Chávez

On a recent television and radio show, Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez remarked about the U.S., "Go to hell, gringos." His tirade came after concern was raised by the U.S. State Department about the Venezuelan National Assembly's plans to give Chávez full authority to pass a series of socialist laws over an 18-month period. Chávez also referred to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as "missy," this some months after calling President Bush the devil while speaking at the United Nations.
