Letter: Tree poetry successful

I would like to take a moment to thank everyone involved in the haiku-a-tree project, which ran last week, April 14-18, in celebration of National Poetry Month.

Susan Corban of the Student Activities Center; Gary Smith, Environmental Services and Carol Vollbrecht, PPD Special Activities. These individuals were instrumental in allowing the project to occur.

I would like to thank Jennifer, Ben and Sam, without their time and patience I wouldn't have been able to do this. I would also like to thank Marisa Demarco and Jessica Brunacini of the Daily Lobo for a fantastic article and photo.

And, most importantly, the 24 poets who submitted upwards of 150 haiku for this event.

Ya'll are great.
