The UNM football team picked up a 38-21 victory over the New Mexico State Aggies on Saturday, making the season 3-0 for the first time since 1997.
A record crowd of 44,760 showed up to watch the Lobos dispose of the Aggies.
The win gives the Lobos their third-straight victory over NMSU as well as their 63rd in the series. The Lobos lead the series 63-28-5 dating back to 1893.
With 24 carries for 120 yards and one touchdown, running back DonTrell Moore became UNM's all-time leading rusher.
Moore also caught two passes for 23 yards and a touchdown.
Although Moore set a new record for rushing, it was quarterback Kole McKamey who ended up being the Lobos' leading rusher of the night.
He had the second 100-yard passing and 100-yard rushing game of his career, but McKamey said he just wanted to beat the Aggies.
"Anytime you come out and beat the Aggies it feels good," he said. "Why wouldn't it? They're our rivals and we put a pretty good whooping on them tonight."
McKamey finished the game 12-of-19 for 172 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.

He also rushed 14 times for a career high 152 yards including a 71-yard touchdown run.
McKamey said 71 yards is a lot longer than he thought.
"To be honest with you, I didn't catch my breath until after halftime," he said.
The defense allowed only seven points through three quarters, but NMSU quarterback Royal Gill caught the defense napping and threw an 80-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Paul Dombrowski.
In the right place at the right time, Lobo cornerback Gabriel Fulbright was able to pick off two passes from Gill.
"I was reading the quarterback trying to see which receiver he was going to throw to, and I saw the receiver wave his hand in the air, then I stepped right in front of it," he said.
Fulbright already has five interceptions this season, which is the total amount he had last year.
"I've got about seven or eight more games," he said. "I was just hoping to get one a game but it's looking pretty good right now."
Fulbright is tied for third with Sharay Fields for all-time career interceptions at 14. He only needs two more to break the record.
Fulbright is also tied for the Mountain West Conference mark for career interceptions.
Head coach Rocky Long said he was impressed with the way his team handled themselves, especially coming off last week's Missouri win.
"I think our team's confident," he said. "I was really impressed with the way they got ready to play. When we win a big game, we tend to pat ourselves on the back. This team didn't do that. This team got themselves ready to play and they played well."
