Editor,
When I first came to the University as an undergraduate in 1992, one of the things that let me know I was in a very different part of the country were the vendors in front of the Student Union Building: the used book guy, the jewelry lady, the Tibetan folks and the lady with Guatemalan goodies.
In visiting other campuses, I've seen nothing like it either.
The vendors are, or were, part of the community that UNM says it wants to include on campus. They should be allowed back.
Walt Miller, what were you thinking?
