This letter is addressed to the American Mainstream Media, the US Congress, and the Bush Administration. We address this to you. The three of you who now are engaged in a political blame game and shuffle regarding the war in Iraq, and more importantly how we got there.
Many of us blame all three of you for either your ignorant compliance or your fevering for war.
We will not forget the environment of fear and misinformation the three of you created for us citizens during that time. We will not forget, no matter how many tit for tats you all throw at each other now, the ideas that you wished upon us to believe as true then.
The three of you, either through compliance or passionate war fervor, convinced the majority of us that Iraq was somehow tied into 911 and terrorism in America. That Saddam Hussein somehow was plotting terrorists strikes on US soil with WMD. That Al Queda has functioning bases in Iraq.
It is clear these now that those ideas are false. This is what the majority of the American People believed prior to the war. We don't forget that.
How could the American People think such things unless those ideas came from the American Media, US Congress, or the Bush Administration?
This being a democratic republic, the people represent another power structure whose favor must be curried to obtain power for political agenda.

The war, like all things in a free market republic, needed to be branded and marketed to get the support of the American People.
We know what is true. That the war in Iraq was so desired by many of those in power now before 911 ever occurred*. This was based on an ideology that is neither proven to work historically nor an idea that was presented to the American people as a justifiable reason for invasion.
In essence, you jerked our emotional strings and traumas after 911 to support an idea for war that was not influenced by 911. You used 911 to convince us of war because the policy to invade Iraq by the PNAC was not an argument that could have won support for the war if left to free and open exchange amongst citizens.
It is not anymore comforting for us if this charade for war was not deception but rather incompetence. Gross incompetence leading to war is nor more comforting than gross deception.
The political fallout from such war and event is incalculable worldwide, and with the increase in terrorism since the war began, such gross incompetence is proving to be quite harmful to the America Public and creates an uncertain view of America by foreign and sovereign nations.
So, these simple questions remained unanswered by the American Mainstream, the US Congress, or the Bush Administration.
1.) How is it that the media, US Congress, and Bush Administration prevented discussion regarding the existence of WMD in Iraq to be presented to the American People? How is it that many of us, prior to the invasion of Iraq, knew much was uncertain regarding Iraq's WMD simply from doing research on the internet but were not informed of these dissents by the Bush Administration, US Congress, or the American Mainstream Media?
2.) How is it then that many of us, with nothing more than internet access and with no financial resources, no political power, or no investigative reporters had a clearer idea that there was doubt about WMD in Iraq before the US Congress, Bush Administration, or the America Media did?
3.) If war was truly a last resort as Bush claimed, how is it that weapons inspectors were simply not given more time to confirm or deny the intelligence? In hind site, doesn't't that alone point to gross incompetence?
4.) If the Bush Administration made no connection between Saddam Hussein and Al Queda, why is it that after the fall of Baghdad in his famous mission accomplished speech, President Bush, referring to Saddam Hussein, said "We have just defeated an ally of Al Queda."?
5.) If the reason for war in Iraq now is the democratization of the middle east, how is it that argument was not presented by the Bush Administration as a way to sell the American Public on the war prior to invasion ?
We will not forget that environment the three of you created for us. We know that it was either deception or incompetence or some combination of both, but we will not forget that the three of you are responsible. We know that you don't know what your doing. And that perhaps is the greatest truth the three of you wish to cover up more than anything else.
War in Iraq, Katrina. More Americans have died and suffered from these events than did in 911.
We will not forget how you got us here. Ever.
