Editor,
I am writing to express my disgust about the pro-choice letters in recent issues of the Daily Lobo. First of all, I would like to know when women got together collectively and decided that we should be allowed to make the decision to murder innocent babies, because apparently I did not get the invite.
Let's be honest and admit that the vast majority of abortions are not performed because the mother's health is in danger, but rather because people are irresponsible. We all know this fact: You can get pregnant if you have sex, especially if you are not using contraception.
In fact, the purpose of sex is for procreation. If you are not ready for this responsibility, then don't have sex. How many babies need to be murdered so people can get off?
Every time pro-lifers come to campus with the gruesome pictures of aborted babies, it is a terrible thing to have to see. But guess what - if people weren't having abortions, there would not be any of those pictures. I don't quite understand why people get so outraged about something they themselves support.
People can be as upset about this letter as they want, but with all the options available today, there is just no excuse. There are thousands of families who would like to adopt. Most families wait for years for a courageous and admirable woman to sacrifice her comfort for the well-being of her child. The women who are having abortions are just too selfish to be pregnant for nine short months. Maybe they don't want to get fat, or don't want their families to know. Well, as I said before - don't have sex. Is it worth someone's life?

Women who throw their babies in the garbage are prosecuted and sent to jail. I just don't see how that is any different from killing a baby while it is still in the womb. Just the surroundings, I suppose.
In fact, the reason mammals have evolved to grow their children in the womb instead of eggs is because they are safer that way. Well, with the way things are going, those babies might just be better off in eggs somewhere.
If Jason Darensburg in his letter claims to speak for Jesus, then I will speak for all the murdered babies. Please stop having abortions - life is no casual phenomenon. Those babies who are being murdered are, in fact, babies. If you are open to having an abortion, do us all a favor - especially your babies - and just tie your tubes.
If you are not ready to love and raise a new life, don't make any.
