There are few things more iconic in December than snow and holiday lights. This year, New Mexico has a shocking amount of snow for the desert. But even better than that, we have some of the best light displays in the nation. Here is a list of great light displays in Albuquerque, all of which are open now through New Year’s Day. Lights go on at sunset.
Bugg Family Lights
301 Menaul Blvd. NE
Located at the Menaul School is a decades-old Albuquerque tradition that runs every Friday and Saturday.
The Star House
4725 Paso Del Puma NE
This house boasts a star made of lights two acres in size.
The Plourde House
8310 Calle Ensueno NW
This grandfather of two has won awards for his light display that includes thousands of lights.
Carlisle & Ridgecrest
Where Carlisle and Ridgecrest fork, there is a display that includes animatronic bears and synchronized music.
1524 Gray Rock Place NE, 2924 Valencia Drive NE, 2113 Marie Park NE.
These three houses have huge light displays with synchronized music.
