REVIEW: Cookie Dough Bliss helps beat the heat

Cookie Dough Bliss is an ice cream shop that is perfectly geared to help people through the summer heat, with locations in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho.

In the mood to try some sweet treats one day, I ordered an ice cream cup and a dirty soda. The ice cream cup was called Balloon Fiesta Berry Burst, and contained cake batter, strawberry cheesecake ice cream, strawberry sauce and Biscoff cookie crumbs. The flavors worked well together, and the service was relaxed and caring. However, when I received the cup I was a little underwhelmed as it was small. They do sell cones as well, which are bigger, but my expectations were higher.

The pina colada dirty soda consisted of pineapple juice, lime syrup, coconut syrup and half & half. They gave me a can of pineapple Fanta with it, which made me a bit skeptical. But once I mixed everything together, it tasted better than I thought.

Given the value and accessibility of the ice cream shop, I definitely would go back for a second trip.
