On the first Friday of every month, the ABQ Artwalk comes to Downtown Albuquerque. The event allows artists across New Mexico to come and receive more exposure of their artwork. A variety of artists participate — painters, jewelers, musicians and much more.

Four bands made their stop in Albuquerque on Sept. 18, for “The Hive” tour. Arcade Rivals, Selfish Things, Punchline and The Spill Canvas played at Launchpad Tuesday night. The title of the tour is in reference to the new EP by The Spill Canvas called “Hivemind.”

On Sept. 12 at Wells Park Tractor Brewing Company, the 22nd annual Albuquerque Slam Poetry Championship was held. Ten poets competed for the right to go to the Individual World Poetry Slam in San Diego, CA. This is a festival and competition of the greatest poets across the country and world who compete for the title of best poet.
