Editor, I am a graduate of BYU and saw a clip of Elizabeth Lambert’s exuberance on YouTube.com. It was a bad situation, but while seeking some way to express my opinion for forgiveness, I came across Miss Lambert’s excuse for such behavior as immodesty on the part of BYU players in order to gain some kind of edge.
Editor, I have found my walk past the SUB on my way to classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays are less stressful than they have been in the recent past.

Editor, I am responding to this entire debacle surrounding “Techno Guy” and “Disgruntled Professor.” The reason I have jumped into this debate a bit late is because I could see both sides of view and sympathized with both, until now.
Editor, The Belfast Telegraph in Northern Ireland wrote that Elizabeth Lambert’s dirty play was some of the “worst sportsmanship seen on a pitch.” It didn’t differentiate between men’s or women’s play.
Editor, On Tuesday, a letter asked us if we believe in “destiny” or “fate.” It might as well have asked us if we have free will or freedom of choice to decide who we want to be and who we can make ourselves out to be.
Editor, When “Techno Guy” was banned from playing music on his boom box, I became a little sad.
Editor, What’s the big deal? Why are people so upset? The football coach is getting a raw deal. I don’t understand all the hand wringing.
Editor, While reading the Nov. 17 Daily Lobo, my peer and I came across the letter, “Abortion kills, ends destinies of people who could change world” written by Steve Chavez.
Editor, Billions and billions of dollars of taxpayer money are being used overseas every day. Empire building is not something that can be done on the cheap.
Editor, This is an open letter to UNM’s amateur graffitists. We have all seen your recent work on the pavements and walls around campus, the anarchy symbols coupled with what I’m sure you think is witty profanity-laden discourse on religion and politics.
Editor, The title of surrealist sci-fi writer Philip K. Dick’s novel, Now Wait For Last Year, may adequately express the anxieties and disquiet of the arts and sciences faculty following their recent meeting with UNM President David Schmidly and the other members of Schmidly’s “executive cabinet.” Imagine our surprise as we listened to President Schmidly appear to cave on almost all of the demands the faculty have been making these past two years. President Schmidly could not say enough about his desire to hire more faculty — as many as possible, he noted, what with the astonishing increase in enrollment.
Editor, I cannot believe the overt hypocrisy that lies within the pages of the Daily Lobo. While a valid news source is fact driven, the Daily Lobo shames itself with articles that often have a skewed point of view.
Editor, Do you believe in destiny? Do you believe in fate? Everyone has heard, “He was destined to be a (blank). It was his fate.” Is what you are studying today leading to your destiny?
Editor, I have known and played soccer with Elizabeth Lambert for almost three years at the University of New Mexico.
Editor, I am writing in response to Hunter Esmiol’s letter on the moral evils of pornography. It saddens me to see a constant parade of letters through the Daily Lobo demanding that one or more rights belonging to American citizens be removed in the interest of that particular person’s religious belief.
Editor, Treachery is abhorrent in any culture or religion. One has to be blinded by hate to find anything decent about the heinous crime and treacherous act of Maj.
