Living on campus is an experience every college student should have, said Randy Boeglin, director of Residence Life. Boeglin said living in the dorms helps students become well-rounded. "It's part of that whole helping one grow and develop in a holistic sense," he said. "We want them to live a self-authored life. What's more powerful than a self-authored life?"

Many students can't afford another tuition increase

Editor, I am writing this letter on behalf of the financially distressed and disenfranchised students at UNM who are deeply concerned about the recent tuition increase. I have attended UNM since 2005, and every year, the tuition increases with no consideration for the people who are impacted the most - financially distressed and disenfranchised students who do not have a broad range of financial resources at their immediate disposal.

Newspaper must present more balanced opinions

Editor, Though my colleagues and I continue to submit opinions to the Daily Lobo, it appears that the opinion editor refuses to publish almost anything that even hints at a conservative opinion. The majority of the letters published in the last several weeks have shown a preponderance of far-left liberal leanings, some of which are totally ludicrous.
