LETTER: Instructor's letter reflects poorly on his department

I really want to comment on Ricky Lee Allen's letter that was printed on March 6. The fact that the writer identified himself as a "UNM College of Education Instructor" should be an embarrassment to all of his colleagues in the College of Education. I certainly hope that his letter was not an indication of the level of scholarship held by instructors in the College of Education.

There's always a catch

The supposedly sane are actually crazy, absurdity is reality and everything has this pesky little catch attached to it. No, this is not our government's proposed energy policy or the Enron scandal, its Joseph Heller's classic novel, "Catch-22," adapted to the stage by the author himself, performed this month at the Vortex Theatre.

LETTER: Psych. patients don't need religious leaflets in offices

Let's create a whole new category to exonerate Andrea Yates: "not guilty by reason of religious view." Once again we have an attempt to recast a mental health issue as one where crime can be absolved by religion. Keep reminding the public that her psychiatrist was Mohammed Saeed and you even get to take sides.
