Online resources can help people with voting process

Editor, This election is too important for anyone to sit on the sidelines. We applaud the good work of the voting rights community that has led to increased energy and an increase in new voter registrations in this election year. Long before the term "third-party registration" was coined, the League of Women Voters, too, was working to ensure that every voter has fair access to registration.

"W." blends Bushisms, truth into bland flick

Oliver Stone once told us that gay anti-communists killed JFK and that Jim Morrison was more than a cretin with a beard. Now he takes on President Bush with "W.," half of which is a boozy, half-cocked oedipal drama and the rest of which is an episode of "The West Wing" written by an eighth grader.

Daily Lobo Spotlight

Daily Lobo: What instrument do you play for UNM's marching band? Patrick Beare: This is called a snare drum. It's part of the drum line, the percussion instruments that are actually marched on the field. DL: How long have you played it? PB: I started in the fifth grade, so I guess that would be about eight years.

The Lobo Threesome

Second Day Red Gallery of Strangers Available now 2.5/5 The sound of Second Day Red is highly original and highly derivative at the same time. It blurs genre lines. At one moment the band sounds like ordinary alternative rock - albeit, whiny alternative rock.
