Veteran punks don't abandon original sound

The band out of Manchester, England, was formed during the punk boom of the late 1970s along with bands like the Sex Pistols. Steve Diggle, guitarist and vocalist for the Buzzcocks, said the initial period was political and explosive.
Basketball tickets will be cheaper for students
July 13UNM announced Wednesday that there are several ticket changes for the 19-game men's basketball 2006-07 season. Those changes include a drop in student ticket prices. Student tickets are now $5 per game and $75 per season. That's $29 less per season than last year. Students can buy up to two guest passes for $150 each - a $58 decrease from last year's price of $208. Last year, students could only buy one guest pass.
Parking fines rise across campus
Abigail Ramirez | July 13Some students are upset about a new parking permit and fine increase that went into effect July 10. Julie Rannou was one of them. "I'm just kind of outraged because the University isn't offering better services, but prices are always going up," she said. "It's hard for students who work on a budget. If the prices went up $2 or $3 that would be OK, but $25 is kind of steep."
Lobos arrested Downtown
July 13UNM football players Blake Ligon and Herbert Felder were arrested early Friday morning on charges of disorderly conduct and failure to obey an officer after an incident at a bar Downtown. Ligon and Felder, both 20, were involved in an altercation with police and bouncers at the Colosseum Nightclub on 515 Central Ave. NE, according to a criminal complaint.
