COLUMN: Not voting wastes a privilege

Daily Lobo Columnist If you don't vote, you're trespassing. As an idealist, I believe that a post-gubernatorial column is worthwhile as long as it encourages at least one individual who consciously threw their license to vote in the gutter on Tuesday to vote next year.

LETTER: Kiska's retirement-age comment petty

Editor, I am responding to Mr. Kiska's comments in the Wednesday, Nov. 6 regent's article: "there is a problem with University employees that have reached retirement age." I resent Mr. Kiska's insinuations that employees he feels should "be retired" are worthless to this institution.

Exhibit shows creative student photography

by Dustin Habermann Daily Lobo Well kids, we're in that final relaxed moment of the semester -- right after midterms and well before finals. In three short weeks you will not have the time to shower, do laundry, eat, sleep, or perform many functions usually under the jurisdiction of your medulla oblongata.

Editor, Kudos and congratulations are in order for the University of New Mexico! Way to go, losing your accreditation for the journalism program in the C&J Department. COLUMN: Some ads needlessly vicious

by Craig A. Butler Daily Lobo Columnist Well, the election is over. Once again the campaign season was long, competitive and at many times downright nasty. Despite every candidate's professed dislike for attack ads, our airwaves have been filled with mudslinging so thick that it's hard for anyone exposed to it to feel clean.
