Daily Lobo Spotlight

Alyssa Adams / Sophomore / Undecided

Daily Lobo: So, what's your major?

Alyssa Adams: I'm actually undecided. I feel like I'm a professional soul-seeker.

DL: Are you confused about what to choose as a major?

AA: No, I'm just really interested in taking a lot of different classes. I like to have the different experience.

DL: What are some things that you dislike about the university experience?

AA: Sometimes it's hard to balance school, work, family and friends all at the same time. But the same thing that I dislike, I also sort of like. It's good to feel busy. There is an opportunity to run into people even when you're not in class.

DL: Is there anything you really dislike about UNM?

AA: Well, it's weird that we are a commuter campus and a lot of people who don't live on campus just go home at the end of the day. It kind of takes away from the bonds that the students could share.

DL: Do you have a favorite place on campus?

AA: I really like a lot of the remote little spots on campus, especially by the Duck Pond. They are really great places to study.

DL: What do you like to do when you're not studying?

AA: I really love meeting new people and downloading new music, reading a really good book and backpacking and hiking.

DL: Have you been working on any specific project lately?

AA: Yes, my roommates and I have been decorating our dorm room.

DL: Do you like your roommates?

AA: They're great! I really like hanging out with them.

DL: What's your final word on attending UNM?

AA: I feel grateful that I could have this experience here, and it's been amazing to hang out with my friends and meet new, interesting people.
