At eight years old, filmmaker Hector Cruz was familiar with the famous image of Che Guevara's face. In 1997 he discovered the Cuban photographer who took this photograph - Alberto Korda.

Justifying a $60,000 raise

David Harris said taking on two roles at the University is hectic. Harris became acting president at UNM in January when Louis Caldera resigned.








Lobo shortstop Ryan Barba stepped up to the plate five times and had two hits during Tuesday's 13-3 win against the University of Arizona at Isotopes Park.

13 cross plate for win over Wildcats

Gone are the days when the Arizona Wildcats beat the UNM baseball team up and down the block. With the Lobos' 13-3 win at Isotopes Park on Tuesday, UNM (24-12 overall, 6-3 in the Mountain West Conference) swept the season series with the Wildcats (15-19, 3-6) for the first time since 1994. The Lobos won three of four against the Wildcats this season.

Indie Spanish flick clichÇ, uninspired

Indie art films have become formulaic. This becomes incredibly clear in "La Mujer de mi Hermano," or in English, "My Brother's Wife." If anyone has ever written a step-by-step guide on how to make repetitive boring art films, that writer would certainly be pleased today.
