UNM President Robert Frank is forming a new student group in an attempt to increase inclusiveness at the University. A statement released by the president’s office stated that the group, to be called the Student Cabinet, is intended to serve as another avenue for students to participate in University affairs.
Former APD commander Nick Bakas said he supports communication and strives to confront any issue with meaningful discussion. He said the Albuquerque Police Department should do the same.

The Graduate and Professional Student Association passed a resolution calling for the University to divest from companies associated with human rights violations in Palestine.
Law student Jessica Marshall will take over as Graduate and Professional Student Association council chair next year. During a GPSA meeting Saturday, Marshall won the position with 14 votes from the 19 council members present.
